Two people hospitalized following Orland Park shooting near Walgreens

ORLAND PARK – Two people have been hospitalized after a shooting Wednesday near a Walgreens store.

According to Orland Park Police, officers were called to the scene area of 143rd St and Will Cook Road in response to a shooting. Upon arriving police found a 31 year old woman and 23 year old man from Blue Island injured. Both victims were transported to Christ Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A alleged suspect in the shooting has reportedly fled the area in a ‘possible’ black Ford Fusion with spoked wheels and heavily tinted windows.

The incident remains under investigation.
