Wheatfield, IN – Jasper County Domestic Incident Leads to Arrest

Wheatfield, IN – A local disturbance has escalated to a criminal case in Wheatfield.

According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, on February 16, 2024, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call about 4 1/2 miles NW of Wheatfield. Megan M. Challoner, a 28-year-old resident, allegedly put the victim in a headlock and bit him. Officers intervened when Challoner tried to re-enter the residence.

She now faces charges including Strangulation and Domestic Battery Resulting in Moderate Bodily Injury, both Level 6 Felonies. It is crucial to remember that an arrest is not a conviction, and the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
