Herscher High School students prepare for Science Bowl

Herscher High School students begin to compete in the regionals for the Department of Energy’s (DOE) 29th Annual National Science Bowl (NSB).

The competion will begin with four students from each team facing off in a fast-paced, question and answer format. The competition tests students’ knowlege in all areas of science and mathmatics.

The winning team from each of the 47 middle and 64 high schools regions will compete in the National Finals, held in Washington, D.C. from April 25th-29th. Winners can win adventure trips to Alaska and the national parks across the country to learn first-hand about science in the field, as well as trophies, medals, and supplies for their schools’ science departments.
