Wisconsin Dells, WI – A recent threat at Wisconsin Dells Middle School led to a thorough investigation, revealing the involvement of juveniles and the spread of misinformation through social media.
The Wisconsin Dells Police Department, in collaboration with school district administrators, identified the juveniles responsible for what was initially perceived as a serious threat but later dismissed as a misguided “joke.”
During the inquiry, a search confirmed that the accused juveniles did not possess any weapons.Additionally, separate misinformation related to the threat circulated on Snapchat, contributing to community concern.
Officers worked with the Baraboo Police Department to trace and verify the source of the Snapchat misinformation, affirming its connection to the original threat. Chief Nicholas Brinker emphasized that all threats are treated seriously and will be investigated fully, ensuring community safety remains a top priority.
