Author T.J. Martinson comes to speak at the Kankakee Public Library

Join the Kankakee Public Library on Tuesday, September 17th at 7:00p.m. as T.J. Martinson, author of The Reign of the Kingfisher, speaks about his novel, answers your questions, and signs your copy of his book!

Thirty years ago, a superhero tried to save Chicago. Now the city is again under siege in this gritty, suspenseful, and beautifully written novel from award-winning debut author T.J. Martinson. Fans of superhero tales will relish Martinson’s energetic debut, in which the Kingfisher legend looms large over Chicago 30 years after the shadowy vigilante supposedly died.

T.J. Martinson is from Kankakee, Illinois. His debut novel comes out from Flatiron Books. He currently lives in Bloomington, Indiana where he is a PhD candidate in English at Indiana University. His research interests include 20th and 21st Century Literature, History, and Philosophy of Science, New Materialisms, and Posthumanism.

This event will be open and free to the public and will be held in the library’s fourth floor auditorium.
