Republic Services announced earlier today changes to regular pickup services announced by the City of Kankakee, which go into effect on April 6th.  Among them, the suspension of both yard waste and bulk waste pickups.

The move was made in an effort to protect the health and safety of their employees and the communities they serve.

Other changes include drivers no longer allowed to leave their vehicles to pick up cans.  Recycling services will continue to operate.
