Glazin’ the Trail 5K Run/Walk to Benefit Catholic Charities Set for May 20

Kankakee, IL – On May 20, 2023, Kankakee Community College will host the inaugural Glazin’ the Trail 5K Run/Walk to benefit Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet. Participants will embark on a beautiful journey along the Kankakee River and through the college campus, and donuts will be provided along the way.

Registration for the event is now open, and fees are as follows: $35.00 for adults (ages 13 and over) if registered by May 11, 2023, and $45.00 for late registration between May 12 and May 19, 2023. Youth registration (ages 12 and under) is free, but race shirts are not included. Virtual participants are welcome to run the race anytime between May 20 and May 27, 2023, and all virtual participants will receive a race packet.

Money raised from Glazin’ the Trail will support the programs and services provided by Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet. These services include programs to serve seniors and those with disabilities, homeless prevention, housing programs, mobile food pantries, and an annual Back to School Fair.

To participate virtually, runners must download the ASICS Runkeeperâ„¢ app and create an account, then follow the link provided to add the Glazin’ The Trail 5K event to their in-app virtual events. From there, they can record their run between May 20-27, 2023, and save their workout to automatically post to Race Roster results.

The Glazin’ the Trail 5K Run/Walk promises to be a fun and family-friendly event that will benefit a great cause. Register today to participate and support Catholic Charities’ mission.
