KANKAKEE, IL – Kankakee County Clerk Dan Hendrickson announced that nomination petition packets for the March 19, 2024 General Primary Election are now available.

Starting September 5th, prospective candidates can get packets at the County Clerk’s office or online. Petition circulation begins the same day. Various positions, from President to County Board Members, are up for grabs.

County office candidates must submit petitions to the County Clerk, while others file with the State Board of Elections between November 27th and December 4th. Filing early on November 27th offers a chance at a top ballot position, while late-filers on December 4th contend for the last spot.
