COVID-19: Death toll lowest in last six days in Illinois

The State of Illinois announced 1,672 new cases of COVID-19 today for a total of 20,852 new cases today, with 43 deaths for a total of 720 deaths in Illinois.

Governor Pritzker announced a new high in tests taken in the past 24 hours with nearly 8,000 taken.  The State of Illinois’ goal is to reach 10,000 tested per day.

Today’s death toll is lower than it has been in the last six days.

Governor Pritzker also thanked Apple’s Tim Cook for donating nearly 100,000 N95 masks to the State of Illinois over the weekend.
