Alert in Schaumburg: Young Male Suspect Flees After US Bank Robbery

SCHAUMBURG, IL — Police in Schaumburg responded Wednesday morning to reports of an armed robbery at a local bank.

According to Schaumburg police it began around 11am at US Bank at 60 S. Meacham Rd., when a suspect, a man believed to be in his early 20s, stands at 6 feet tall and weighs around 200 pounds. He was last seen donning a work jacket, hoodie, and a black mask, brandishing a black handgun.

While police have since cleared the scene and lifted the shelter-in-place mandate for nearby residents, the search for the suspect remains ongoing. Authorities urge the public to remain vigilant, and immediately report any suspicious activity or sightings of the suspect to 911.
