JOLIET, Ill. — Justen Holman, 21, from Plainfield, was charged with first-degree murder by Joliet Police after indicating to officers that he had killed someone, leading to the discovery of his mother’s death. Holman is currently held at the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

According to police reports the incident began when Holman approached officers in the 1500 block of North Larkin Ave. in Joliet, confessing to killing someone at his residence.
