Pennsylvania Man Faces Charges in Urbana Package Theft and Crash Incident

Urbana, Illinois – A Pennsylvania man faces multiple charges after being involved in a package theft incident in Urbana, followed by a vehicle crash. 

According to police reports on December 18, Simeon S. Simmons, a 33-year-old from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, allegedly stole packages from a residential area and fled from police. The pursuit ended when Simmons’ vehicle crashed at an intersection. Recovered from the scene were packages linked to six different thefts. 

Simmons, now in custody, is charged with theft, aggravated fleeing, DUI, and resisting arrest, among others. 

Urbana Police urge residents to safeguard their packages and seek further information on the case. Tips can be anonymously provided to Crime Stoppers.
