BATON ROUGE, La. – Tuesday evening saw a bewildering scene unfold as 30 dead pigs littered the Mississippi River Bridge, creating a traffic nightmare. In response, the Louisiana State Police temporarily blocked the two left lanes on I-10 Westbound.
Amidst the chaos, the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office was summoned to a three-vehicle crash scene that left one person injured. Adding to the peculiarity of the incident, the truck responsible for the pigs seemed oblivious to the situation, continuing its journey undeterred. Whether the pigs’ presence played any part in the crash is still under scrutiny.
