BRADLEY, IL – A daring 22-year-old man, identified as Zachariah Barto, is facing multiple charges after an allegedly audacious spree of vehicle burglaries and stolen credit card usage sent shockwaves through Bradley.

According to Bradley Police the incident unfolded on Tuesday in a parking lot on Route 50 when Barto allegedly smashed a car window and made off with a woman’s purse.

With the stolen credit card, Barto allegedly wasted no time, embarking on a shopping extravaganza across town. Surveillance systems from area stores were instrumental in his swift identification by Bradley Police.

In a bizarre twist of fate, Barto was arrested while attempting to make a purchase with yet another stolen credit card, discovered to have been taken from the same area.

Charges of burglary to a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen credit card have been filed against Barto.
