Grease Fire Erupts at ‘The Pub’ in Morris; Nearby Streets Closed

MORRIS — A sudden grease fire erupted at “The Pub,” a popular restaurant connected to the Quality Inn, around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. 

The Morris Fire Department swiftly responded, containing the blaze by the early afternoon. In the wake of the incident, Gore Road between Menard Dr and Route 47 was closed to the public. 

The Morris Police Department is cautioning residents and travelers to steer clear of the area. Thankfully, no further spread of the fire has been reported.
