Car runs out of Gas in Kankakee, Driver arrested for possession of stolen vehicle

KANKAKEE – A man was arrested over the weekend after the vehicle he was in ran out of gas on East Court Street.

According to Kankakee City Police, it happened just before 4pm Saturday when they responded to a disabled vehicle in the area.  Officers arrived on site and spoke with a man, 37-year-old Danny Sullivan, who told police the car ran out of gas.

A check of the vehicle turned up stolen from Urbana, Illinois.  

Sullivan was arrested on site for possessing a stolen motor vehicle.
