Chicago man dies after running across I-80 in Grundy County

A 20-year-old Chicago man died early Tuesday morning after running across Interstate 80 near milepost 105 in Grundy County, for reasons unknown. The incident happened just before 2 am.

According to State Police reports, Jake CF Enblom of Chicago was killed when he was struck by a 2017 White Freightliner Truck Tractor Semi-Trailer, driven by 22-year old Rishap K. Talwar of Cambridge, ON.

Traffic was shut down for just over an hour by State Police before reopening following an investigation.
