JOLIET, IN – A daring rescue took place as Joliet Fire Department’s crew responded to a swimmer in distress on August 19th.
Crews rushed to the Des Plaines River near Jefferson St. bridge, where they found a victim struggling in the water. Despite challenges, the team successfully reached the victim, who was brought to safety on their rescue boat.
The individual was then taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition. The incident highlights the dedication of Joliet Fire Department’s responders and their commitment to community safety.
