Chicago, IL – The search is underway for the 2024 Landmarks Illinois Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Preservation Awards, recognizing extraordinary contributions to Illinois’ historical legacy.
This distinguished awards program, underwritten since 1994, celebrates projects and individuals that embody an unwavering commitment to historic preservation. Landmarks Illinois is calling for nominations across various categories, from advocacy to environmental sustainability. The nominees should reflect the organization’s guiding principles, with an emphasis on impact, quality, and innovation in preservation.
Eligible projects must be within Illinois and completed within the last five years. Special honor is reserved for the Richard H. Driehaus Legacy Award recipient, a testimony to the transformative power of preservation. With the nomination deadline on June 1, 2024, the anticipation for October’s award ceremony builds, where recipients will receive a cash prize and a custom trophy.
