30 Car Burglaries at Joliet Amazon Facility overnight

JOLIET, Ill. – Police are investigating after 30 cars were burglarized in the parking lot of an Amazon facility overnight.

According to authorities, officers responded to the facility located at 250 Emerald Drive after receiving reports of property damage to numerous vehicles belonging to Amazon employees. A preliminary investigation revealed that the windows of the cars were shattered between 7 p.m. on Saturday and 3 a.m. on Sunday.

Many of the victims reported that items were removed from their cars during the same time period. The incident is being investigated and police are asking anyone with information to come forward.

At this time, it is unclear if any suspects have been identified or arrested in connection with the incident. Amazon has not yet commented on the matter.
