Kankakee FD Battles Fire at Trucking company off I-57 Monday

KANKAKEE, IL – At 6:25 a.m. this morning, the Kankakee Fire Department responded to a commercial structure fire at Dluzak Trucking on 1327 Stanford Dr. Engine 4 arrived on the scene to find a working fire, prompting Bourbonnais, Bradley, and Limestone fire departments to join in the efforts to contain the blaze.

As of now, the cause of the fire is unknown, and there are no reported injuries. However, authorities urge residents to avoid the area as firefighters work to put out the flames.

Dluzak Trucking is a local, family-owned business that has been in operation for over 30 years, specializing in freight and shipping services for the Kankakee area. 

The Kankakee Fire Department advises all nearby residents to keep their windows and doors closed due to smoke in the area. The fire is still active, and crews are working tirelessly to extinguish the flames.
