Man Brutally Attacked at Speedway Gas Station in Joliet

JOLIET, Ill. – A 40-year-old Joliet man, Jonathan Banks, faces charges after a stabbing at a Speedway gas station. 

According to Joliet Police, officers responded to the scene on Jefferson Street around 9:36 PM. They found a 27-year-old male victim with multiple abdomen stab wounds and a 36-year-old with a stab wound to his leg. Both injuries are non-life-threatening. 

Banks allegedly initiated an argument in the station’s parking lot, producing a knife and attacking the victims. He was later apprehended near North Larkin Avenue. 

The incident has prompted community discussions on safety. Banks is in custody, pending further investigation.
