McDonald’s Chaos: Champaign Man Arrested for Threatening and Hitting Employees

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Samuel O. Megbolugbe, a 23-year-old resident of Champaign, was arrested on Tuesday for aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and disorderly conduct at McDonald’s located at 616 E. Green St.

According to reports, Megbolugbe allegedly walked behind the counter and threatened or hit several employees after a disagreement over an order. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.

Megbolugbe was taken into custody by local authorities at 11:29 a.m. and transported to the Champaign County Jail. He is currently awaiting a court date.

The incident is still under investigation, and anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Champaign Police Department.
