Minnesota Semi-Truck driver injured in Rollover crash on I-57 Thursday

MATTOON, Ill. – A semi-truck rollover on I-57 sent a Minnesota native to the hospital with injuries. The driver, identified as 52-year-old Charles Isaya of Mankato, Minnesota, was driving northbound near the Illinois Route 16 exit around 12:30 a.m. when it left the roadway. 

The trailer flipped onto its side, while the cab remained upright. Responders, including firefighters from the Lincoln Fire Protection District, arrived at the scene. Isaya was transported to a nearby hospital, and no other injuries were reported. 

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
