GILMAN, IL – Governor JB Pritzker and state leaders marked the groundbreaking of Incobrasa Industries LTD’s $250 million manufacturing facility expansion Wednesday.
The strategic move is expected to create 40 new full-time jobs and retain 200 existing positions, and significantly boost production capacity.
“In addition to sustaining and creating new, permanent, good-paying careers, this new $250 million expansion will mean dozens of construction and installation jobs for workers here in Iroquois County and across the region. We’re making it easier for companies to do business in Illinois,” said Governor JB Pritzker. “We’re investing in our skilled workforce. And we’re modernizing our transportation systems, roads, ports and airports. Illinois is on the rise and open for business.”
Incobrasa, a soybean processing leader since 1997, will construct a cutting-edge soybean crushing facility, accompanied by a 50-acre solar array. This endeavor aligns with Illinois’ status as the top U.S. soybean producer. The Gilman plant processes soybeans to produce animal feed, packaged vegetable oil, and biodiesel.
The project’s Economic Development for a Growing Economy (EDGE) tax credit underscores the state’s commitment to fostering growth and job creation.
