BOURBONNAIS – A Red Flag Warning has been issued for the third time this week across northern Illinois early Saturday morning. The warning will run from 10 am to 8 pm Saturday.

“Dry conditions, very low humidity and strong gusty winds once again across northern Illinois today are setting the stage for fires to spread more easily. Because of this, the National Weather Service has issued a RED FLAG WARNING for Will County effective from 10:00am until 8:00pm today. Please stay vigilant throughout the day. Try to refrain from starting any unnecessary fires and be mindful if you dispose smoking materials. Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. The threat is greatest in rural areas where harvest activities are occurring.” Joliet Weather Center said in a statement Saturday.

Earlier this week, numerous wildfires were sparked across Illinois while Red Flag Warnings were issued, including in Will and Iroquois County.
