Rolling Meadows Woman Arrested on Weapons Charges After Routine Traffic Stop

KANKAKEE, Ill. – Fannie M Branch, a 52-year-old woman from Rolling Meadows, Illinois, found herself in police custody on weapons charges after a routine traffic stop conducted by Kankakee City Police. 

According to reports, it happened Thursday afternoon near Brookmont Boulevard and Schuyler Avenue, officers pulled over Branch’s SUV for a traffic violation and discovered that she was driving on a revoked license.

During the arrest, a search of the vehicle led to a startling discovery – a loaded handgun. 

Branch was booked on felony possession and use of a firearm, and other various weapons charges.  She was taken to Jerome Combs Detention Center where she was being held on $2,500.00 bond.
