GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL – Chodri Ma Khokhar, the 66-year-old Village President of Glendale Heights, is now facing legal trouble due to alleged false police reports.

DuPage County State’s Attorney Bob Berlin and Glendale Heights Chief of Police George Pappas announced the indictment after a thorough investigation Friday.  The charges stem from two separate incidents on April 26, 2023, and May 12, 2023, during which Khokhar claimed to be the victim of an assault, by an undisclosed village trustee.

According to the indictment, the police reports filed by Khokhar allegedly contained false information, and authorities believe that he knew there were no reasonable grounds to support his claims.

Following the Grand Jury’s decision, an arrest warrant was issued, and Khokhar turned himself in late Thursday afternoon. He was processed and subsequently released on a personal recognizance bond.

Khokhar’s arraignment is scheduled for September 11th.
