Storm Chances Increase East of I-69 in Indiana and Ohio

Fort Wayne, IN – Storm chances are set to increase in northeastern Indiana and northwestern Ohio tonight and into Wednesday, with damaging wind gusts possible east of I-69. The US National Weather Service Northern Indiana issued an alert early Tuesday morning, highlighting the potential for strong to severe storms on Wednesday afternoon and evening.

According to the National Weather Service, scattered storms may develop tonight, but severe weather is not expected until Wednesday. The main threat associated with these storms is damaging wind gusts, particularly in areas east of I-69. However, the overall confidence in widespread severe storm coverage remains low at this time.
