Elkhart, IN – Two individuals were reportedly injured in a shooting at a McDonald’s drive-thru late Sunday night in North Central Indiana. The incident occurred just after 10 p.m., leaving the community in shock.
Elkhart Police reported that a 16-year-old female was struck by gunfire while she was a passenger in a vehicle waiting in the drive-thru line. The vehicle was hit by multiple shots, and the driver quickly took her to Elkhart General Hospital, where she received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
In a related incident, a second shooting victim arrived at Goshen Hospital shortly after the first. This individual claimed to have been shot while exiting a vehicle in the same drive-thru.
According to police, no arrests have been made yet, and detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding both shootings. The motives behind the attacks remain unclear, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
