Lake County, IN – Commuters in Lake County should prepare for delays as U.S. 231 is set to close for two consecutive infrastructure projects starting April 15.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the first project involves pipe lining between Hendricks Place and Tenbrook Drive, followed by a structure replacement between Bell Street and Fathke Road. The closures are expected to last until mid-June. Detours via U.S. 41, U.S. 30, and State Road 55 will be in place.
