Opinion: Four reasons Chicago as an NHL host city would be amazing, if not for a pandemic

2.) Can Chicago even handle it?

Having one city hub this is necessary but ridiculous notion. How many games are you going to play in one day? How long will TV crews be there? How many TV crews will have to share one press box?

Chicago is the worst hit city in one of the worst hit states in the country from Corona virus. What is to say Chicago could even handle holding and housing all the players and media and crew members in a time when various places are being used to house the sick? Also, another point I would like to mention under this umbrella is what happens if there is another outbreak? Illinois seems to have a Governor that will not hesitate to shutdown the state again if the situation arises. If that happens isn’t the playoffs a waste?
