During the weekend of June 14-16, 2019 two local events were held. The Senior Safety Fair, hosted by States Attorney Jim Rowe, at Quality Inn and Suites in Bradley, provided local seniors with information and resources to take charge of their healthcare and protect themselves from scams that target the elderly. One of the highlights was a K9 demonstration from the Bradley Police Department.

However, more fires are reported on July 4th than any other day of the year in the United States. Nearly half of those fires are caused by fireworks.
