FRANKFORT – Police are seeking information on two men allegedly posing as utility workers during an apparent burglary attempt at a residence this afternoon.

According to Frankfort Police, it happened around 1:10pm when two men allegedly posed as utility workers to gain access to a home in the 400 block of Linden Court.

During the attempt, the suspects were allowed access to home after claiming they were there for a downed tree and a water issue, leading residents into the basement while one of the men remained upstairs.

Police remind residents to ask workers for identification whenever attempting to access a home for such issues.  Verification for such claims can also be done by calling an employer’s listed telephone number.
