Kankakee Library removes seating in wake of COVID-19

The Kankakee Public Library announced on Sunday they would be removing guest seating to enforce a walk-in service only policy, but remain open. 

“Beginning Tuesday, March 17th, the library will be moving to walk in service only” the Library said in a general public statement.

Visitors are still encouraged to visit the library to check out books, pick up holds, do various paperwork and notary services and use of public computers, but only for 10 minutes.  Reference and obituary request will still be available, but the Library asks for you to call or email prior to arrival.

All program or meeting rooms have been discontinuing until further notice.

Bourbonnais Public Library has canceled all classes and programs through April 4th, Bradley Public Library has canceled all classes and programs until further notice.
