The Village of Manteno announced today their plans to hold a “Get Loud” front porch event this Wednesday, April 8th at 7 pm.

The idea came out of similar events held in Chicago this past Saturday with Great response.  Village officials are encouraging residents to show appreciation to those on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19.

“Step outside, honk your horn or whatever you can to create a loud cheer!  Clap your hands, ring a bell or bang on some pots and pans for all to hear!” says the Village in a statement issued on Monday.

For more on the event, head over the Village of Manteno’s Facebook page here.
