Dramatic I-55 Chase: Burglary Suspects Flee Into Cornfield Near Odell

ODELL, IL — Early Saturday morning at 4:09 am, a joint operation saw Livingston County Sheriff’s deputies, along with Chenoa PD, Pontiac PD, ISP, and McLean County Sheriff, apprehend burglary suspects from McLean County incidents on I-55, close to milepost 210. 

According to police reports, four suspects fled the scene upon police arrival; three were in black sweats, and one in gray. While one suspect was captured, three took to a nearby cornfield. 

Despite extensive efforts, including police K9s and drones, the trio is believed to have escaped the vicinity. Residents are urged to report any unusual activity by dialing 815-844-0911 or 911.
