100 Airsoft Players Safe After Fire Breaks Out in Kankakee

KANKAKEE, IL – A fire incident, fortunately without injuries, occurred amidst an airsoft game with 100 participants in Kankakee.

The Kankakee City Fire Department, aided by Bourbonnais, Bradley, and Limestone fire departments, promptly responded to the fire in the 900 block of N. Hobbie Avenue. 

Firefighters report that the blaze was contained within a stack of pallets and mattresses on the first floor. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain whether the fire was a consequence of the airsoft game.
