Indiana Father, Daughter Killed in Fatal Crash with FedEx Truck

SOUTH BEND, IN – A heartbreaking collision between a passenger vehicle and a FedEx delivery truck on Friday, Aug. 18, has claimed the lives of a father and his daughter on South Bend’s north side. 

According to investigators the fatal crash occurred shortly before 10 a.m. near the intersection of Lindenwood Dr. and Auten Rd., sending shockwaves through the community and prompting an investigation into the tragic crash.

The victims, identified as a 47-year-old father and his 18-year-old daughter, both residents of South Bend, were fatally injured when their westbound passenger vehicle collided head-on with an eastbound FedEx delivery truck. Both victims were pronounced dead on the scene.

The 29-year-old Mishawaka woman driving the FedEx truck sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. She is cooperating fully with investigators, providing valuable insights into the events leading up to the catastrophic collision.

The St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team has taken charge of the investigation, focusing on uncovering the circumstances that led to this tragic incident.
