As the winter season comes to a close, the Old Farmer’s Almanac has released their predictions for the upcoming spring in Illinois. According to the Almanac, Illinois can expect a “fairly mild” spring compared to previous years.

In March, the Great Lakes region is expected to experience drier weather. However, there may still be pockets of chill in some areas. Moving into April, temperatures will be cooler than normal. But come May, temperatures will start to rise with near-normal rainfall.

While the spring season may be mild for Illinois, other regions in the country will have varying weather conditions. The Northwest can expect below-normal temperatures while the Deep South and Florida will experience warmer than usual temperatures. Upper Midwest, Appalachians, and Mid-Atlantic should prepare for above-normal precipitation.

It is always essential to stay informed and prepared for any weather conditions. The Old Farmer’s Almanac provides more detailed information about the forecast. As the spring season approaches, keep an eye on the weather to ensure safety and preparedness.
