Man found shot dead in car in front of Banquet Hall in Kankakee overnight

KANKAKEE – A man was found shot dead in a car outside a Banquet Hall overnight.

According to Kankakee City Police, it happen around 2am Friday when police were called to a Banquet Hall in the 1000 block of East Birch Street for reports of shots fired.  When they arrived they found Andre D. Glass, 28, of Kankakee shot in a car at the location.  Glass died on the scene.

Witnesses reported seeing someone approaching the vehicle and firing multiple shots at Glass before fleeing the area.  

An investigation into the homicide remains ongoing.  Officials are asking anyone with information to call their office at 815-933-0426.
