MANHATTAN, IL – The unnerving search for Robert M. Hollingsworth ended in heartbreak as the Will County Coroner, Laurie Summers, confirmed his death Monday night. 

The Mokena resident was found deceased in Manhattan on Sunday morning, hours after his mysterious disappearance had rocked the community.

Robert’s baffling absence began after a shocking car crash on Route 52. Witnesses recalled a distraught Hollingsworth, possibly injured, leaving the scene. His personal belongings were discovered at the site, further deepening the enigma. Adding another layer of complexity, Katie Hollingsworth, Robert’s mother, had voiced concerns over her son’s mental well-being before he vanished.
