Fire causes $25k worth damage in Kankakee overnight

KANKAKEE – A fire that started in an attic has displaced a family and caused around 25k worth of damage.

According to Kankakee City Fire, it happened in the 100 block of North Wildwood around 4 a.m. this morning.  First responders say the fire was believed to be electrical.  

No one was injured in the incident.
