Manteno School District moves to Adaptive Pause

MANTENO – Schools in Manteno will move to an ‘Adaptive Pause’ beginning at the end of the month.

In a letter to parents Monday, Superintendent Lisa Harrod announced the measures with plans to go remote from November 30th to December 4th.

“I am writing to alert you to a change in our schedule due to trying to limit the potential spread of the virus after the Thanksgiving holiday and assist us with staffing appropriately.” Harrod said in the statement. “We will now be moving to an Adaptive Pause and moving our district to remote learning from November 30th – December 4th. Our buildings will be open for our students beginning on December 7th and hopefully we will hold in-person instruction until the scheduled beginning of the holiday break.”

Manteno High School announced November 9th the school move to remote learning cited ‘staffing patterns and reduced substitute availability’ while lower education schools in the district continued in-person activities.
