Shape Your Community: Join Champaign Police as a Resident Panelist for New Officer

CHAMPAIGN, IL – Champaign Police Department calls on residents to volunteer as panelists in hiring new officers. 

The Chief’s interview panel will assess applicants, providing feedback to Chief Timothy T. Tyler. Community members with supervisory experience and understanding of local police-community relations preferred. Training required. Time commitment flexible, at least one day per month. Applicants must be Champaign residents, aged 21+. Police Chief Tyler aims to strengthen bonds between the police and the community through this initiative.
