BOURBONNAIS – Monday, August 17, 2020, the Village of Bourbonnais will begin selling their
Chicago Bears banners as a memento of the annual summer training camp in “Bearbonnais”. From 2001 to 2019, the banners lined the main streets of Bourbonnais welcoming the Chicago Bears and thousands of fans. All proceeds will benefit the Bourbonnais Grove Historical Society and the 1837 Log Schoolhouse Restoration Project.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to own a village training camp keepsake and also contribute to
Bourbonnais history,” explained Mayor Paul Schore. “We received a large volume of requests for
the banners and couldn’t be more pleased to donate the proceeds to the original Bourbonnais
Log Schoolhouse Restoration Project.”

Banners are approximately 18 inches wide by 35 inches long. They are available in cloth for$30.00 each or vinyl for $15.00 each. Due to popularity, the village is limiting banners to three per customer. In-person purchases may be made via cash or check at the administration building located at 600 Main Street NW Monday through Friday 9 am to 4 pm daily.

For out-of-town football fans, the village will ship banners for an additional postage fee. Requests
may be sent via email beginning on August 17. Payment must be received within seven days after request and banners will be shipped upon payment receipt. There is a total of 128 cloth banners and 26 vinyl banners currently available on a first come, first served basis. Images and shipping costs can be viewed here.
