GARY, Ind. – The snow season is fast approaching, and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is on the hunt for heroes. In anticipation of the winter months, INDOT has put out a call for individuals keen to join their #INDOTWinterOps team in the Northwest region.

These seasonal positions, which kick off in early November and run through early April, offer an hourly wage of $21. The core duties involve crucial snow and ice removal, general highway maintenance, and other winter operations as required.

Keen applicants should possess a valid CDL and be prepared for an in-person application process. INDOT is holding hiring events on Tuesday, September 26, from 10am to 3pm local time at several locations: the Gary Sub District Office, LaPorte District Office, Plymouth Sub District Office, and the Mishawaka Unit Office.

It’s more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to serve fellow Hoosier motorists and ensure safer roads during the challenging winter months. For more details, prospective applicants can visit indotjobs.com or send a text to 468311 with the message “INDOT Winter.”
