Department of Homeland Security Aids Indiana Garage Fire Investigation

LOWELL, IN – The Lowell Fire Department, aided by an investigator from the Department of Homeland Security, is conducting an investigation into an unexpected garage fire that occurred on Sunday night. 

According to Lowell Fire, the Mutual aid was called from neighboring fire departments due to the advanced stage of the fire and its proximity to residential properties. Thankfully, the fire was contained to the garage, with no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Lowell Fire Department Arson Investigation Division, supported by the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of the State Fire Marshal. 

No further details have been provided surrounding the blaze.  Updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
