JOLIET – Joliet Police were on the scene at Joliet Catholic Academy early Monday after a classroom phone triggered a “code blue lockdown” campus-wide.

According to Joliet Catholic Academy, the incident happened just before 9am this morning when the phone triggered the code blue.

“It is believed this button was inadvertently pressed by a teacher or student,” Joliet Catholic Academy said in a statement this morning.  “There were no threats called in or made online to the campus.”

Officers responded to the report and found no threats of any kind.

The administration and police are continuing to investigate the origin of the alarm.
