BRADLEY – The Village of Bradley voted Monday night to allow the area’s first recreational Marijuana Store in Kankakee County.

The store, which will be known as Green Releaf Dispensary, is expected to open in early 2022 after a build-out of the site at 1660 State Route 50.

Construction is expected to last around six months.

The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation gave GRD Illinois, which will operate the Dispensary, a conditional adult-use cannabis dispensary license in July for Kankakee County, one of just 55 awarded statewide.

It will be the first of two stores planned for Illinois, another set to go up around the Chicago/Naperville area. Right now, Green Releaf Dispensary is primarily operated in Missouri.

  1. I am very excited about a dispensary opening here in my town. I am extremely interested in applying for this dispensary. Anyone know where that can be possible for me?
    Thanks
